Casa das Conchas
Casa das Conchas is an open, romantic, luxuriously refurbished fisherman's house. You will find it at
the Rua do Povo do Burro, which leads uphill from the Estrada do Farol (Street to the lighthouse).

| Casa das Conchas is suitable for a stay of 4 persons.
The house has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a brand new open kitchen with all modern comforts, a big
dining room with sea view, a nice living room with airco and a sheltered patio with fixed barbeque. And, via a terrace
area stairway, a spacious and very sunny roof terrace with views all over the village and to the sea. There is
full audio, satellite TV, a sun driven hot water system and modern telephone, so that you can phone within the
region and can be reached by the family back home.
The occupants of Casa das Conchas are permitted to use the pool facilities of the Monte Dourado resort, only 150 meters from the house. |

From the Rua do Povo do Burro you enter a small open hall with a stone, azulejos-covered, bench; here
is the place to read your morning-paper or watch the neighbour's cat.
Via the double (stable-type) door you enter directly the long stretched dining room
with old paving tiles and double windows with a wonderful sea-view!
You enter the living room by a wide stairway with fire-place and satellite TV;
it is adjacent to the new open kitchen. The kitchen is brand new and offers all modern comfort: microwave and ceramic stove top, electric oven,
large fridge and freezer and a huge counter of beautiful Portuguese granite!

From the living room (and opposite the kitchen) you will enter a
modern bedroom with its own bathroom. This bedroom has two large twin sized beds. There are two windows:
one looking to the street and the other one to the patio.
Through the living and a small doorway the old paving tiles
leads you to the second bedroom and its bathroom. Here you will find a double bed.
Via a separate door you will enter the patio. It is sheltered
and gives good shade, although in midsummer you sill need the big parasol. There is a cosy and handy fixed
barbeque, lots of plants and a separate laundry room.

A stairway leads to the big roof terrace, specially fitted for a good sun bathe or a nice drink overlooking the village and the
sea. The view is spectacular.  |
